A tiny studio. A lot of alt-versions of you.

Facetopia started as a group chat in Miami in 2023 where six friends kept swapping ridiculous AI portraits. "Me, but Rococo." "You, but a Gremlin." "Us, but all trapped in 1998." We built a tiny web app so we could keep doing it. Then our cousins found it. Then their cousins.

Not a studio tool. A playground.

There are plenty of pro AI face apps now. Headshots, passport photos, beauty editors. Facetopia is deliberately the opposite. The whole thing is built for goofing off. We lean into the weird. You should leave a session with at least one version of yourself you want to set as your everywhere-avatar.

We are not trying to be Instagram. We're trying to be the group chat where you send your friends a picture of what you'd look like as a Ren-faire noble and they immediately have to one-up you.

Three things we don't negotiate on.

Your face is yours

We don't use uploads to train models. Your Vault is private on Pro. You can nuke everything with two taps. Nobody sees your selfie feed unless you post it.

No pretending you're someone else

Don't upload someone else's face without them in on the joke. No minors. No public figures. We remove and ban fast, and we mean it. The community page spells it out.

Playful, not mean

The feed gets moderated like a house party, not a comment section. Remix hard, clown on yourself, leave other people alone. We'd rather ban early than host a mess.

Who builds this.

Six of us. Three in Miami, one in Mexico City, two nomad. Bootstrapped for now.
